The Maharashtra govt. has introduced the VAT of 5% on purchase of new properties with retrospective effect. i.e. Flats purchased between 2006 to April 2010.
This is a real shocker for the home buyers. Already peoples are burdened with various taxes and as if it was not enough, this VAT has introduced with retrospective effect.
So the govt. should not levy extra taxes on the already burdened home buyers
