Stop Private Colleges from Overcharging

Eversince government and AICTE approved private colleges to operate after getting approval from HRD ministry, education has got commercialised big time. Many people and companies have opened private colleges with the sole aim of making money, instead of teaching. To this end, private colleges have been charging insane amount of fees and non-refundable 'donations' from their students. Parents of these students are unwillingly coughing up the money since they are rendered helpless when their children can not perform so well and have to settle for 'paid seats', as they are called. Hard earned money of parents is getting wasted just because they really want their wards to graduate. Lets request government and AICTE to regulate the fee structure of private colleges too and find a way to stop this robbing of parents and students. A way to do so could be an upper limit on fees that can be charged, just like TRAI has put a ceiling to the charges that can be levied by various service providers.
