Convert American College, Goripalayam, Madurai into All India Medical Institute

American College, Madurai is an Arts and Science College in Madurai, India and it has two campuses: one at Goripalayam and another at Chatrapatti. Recently, the Union Government of India proposed to set up the All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Madurai, though they haven't found a suitable place in the heart of city to serve the people in the Southern Districts. Having studied at the American College, I can honestly say that a medical college at the center of Madurai will serve the people much better than an Arts College. Further, there is already the Madurai Medical College near this place and expanding the existing medical facility into AIIMS will be best thing that can happen to Madurai. Since the American College has another campus at Chatrapatti, it'll be pretty easy for the students and faculty to settle in their new campus to have a new beginning by taking a better resolve to serve the country than what it has done in the past 125years of its mere existence. Anyone who has studied in the American college will acknowledge that colleges which started recently have done more to serve the community than this American College. Needless to say, the AIIMS could start functioning in less than 3 months rather than 3 or 4 years if a new medical campus and hospital have to be built. Please support this hreat cause and it will serve more people and everyone in the Southern districts will have access to high quality medical assistance free of cost.
