Stop endorsing Dutt

At the conclusion of the investigation against the accused in the blast case, the police found that on January 16, 1993, Dutt had knowingly procured three AK-56 rifles, 25 hand grenades and one nine-mm pistol and cartridges from accused Anees Ibrahim Kaskar through Sameer Ahmad Hingora, Hanif Kadawala, Ibrahim Musa Chouhan, Abu Salem Abdul Qayoom Ansari and Manzoor Ahmed Sayed Ahmed. By willingly keeping the arms and ammunition in his possession, the accused facilitated the criminal objectives of the terrorists.
Some parts of the rifle, the nine-mm pistol and 53 rounds of live cartridges were recovered during the course of investigation. Accused Yusuf Mohsin Nullwala, Kersi Bapuji Adenia, Rusi Framrose Mulla and Ajay Yashprakash Marwah caused willful destruction of evidence — one AK-56 rifle, one nine-mm pistol and several cartridges — by deliberately removing them from Dutt's house, at his instance, with the intention of protecting him from the legal consequences.
Thus, the charge against him was very serious, including an offence under Section 5 of the TADA Act. Apart from other evidence, the prosecution relied upon his confession, which he did not retract for a long time. Dutt admitted receiving three AK-56 rifles along with ammunition from the conspirators of the Bombay blasts.
Still we make a superstar out of him (Munnabhai), the political parties seek his endorsement and he is made an MP in the Parliament. How are people who violate the constitution grossly in their personal lives, going to uphold it once inside the Parliament? Common public is requested to stop voting for such 'celebrities' who are more in news of what wrong they do, rather than for what right they do.
