I PURCHASED A WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR MODEL ICEBERG 340 Lit CAPACITY FROM M/S.SOWNDARYA DIGITAL MALL ,VISAKHAPATNAM,A.P. STATE, IN DEC.2006 WITH 5YEAR WARRANTY AT A CST OF Rs. 25000/.THE OMPRESSOR OF THE REFRIGERATOR FAILED IN APRIL 2009 DURING WARRANTY PERIOD.AFTER OUR CONTINEOUS PURSUATION FOR A WEEK,THE FIRM REPLCED THE DEFECTIVE COMPRESSOR .THIS HAD CAUSED US A LOT INCONVENIENCE AND COST US DEARLY AS THE FAILURE TOOK PLACE DURING NIGHT TIME. THE REPLACEMENT COST US Rs.1670/,THOUGH SUPPOSED TO BE FREE.

THE COMPRESSOR FAILED AGAIN ON 3rd JUNE 2009 FOR THE 2nd TIME.WE INSISTED ONTHE FIRM TO REPLACE THE FRIDGE AS THERE APPEARS TO BE BASICALLY SOMETHNG WRONG WITH THE UNIT AND AS THIS REQURES THOROUGH CHECKUP.

AFTER THE 2nd FAILURE,TOGET THE MACHINE RECTIFIED ON URGENT BASIS WE HAD TO PURSUE WITH THEIR OFFICES AT VISAKHAPATNAM,HYDERABAD,NEWDELHI,GURGAO AND ALSO TAKEN THE ASSISTANCE OF A LAWER DULY INFOMING THE FIRM THAT THEY WOULD BE TAKEN TO CONSUMER COURT IF IMMEDIATE FOLLOWUP ACTION IS NOT TAKEN .THE FIRM REPLACED THE COMPRSR WITH A PROMISE THEY WOULD REPLACE THE FRIDGE IF THE COMPR FAILS FOR THE 3rd TIME.

I FEEL THAT SPENDING Rs.25000/ HARD EARNED MONEY ON A FRIDGE ,WHY SHOULD WE STRAIN OURSELVES TO CONTACT ALL THEIR OFFICES IN INDIA AND SPEND TIME AND MONEY.THE BEST THING IS NOT TO BUY SUCH PRODUCT OF QUESTIONABLE QUALITY
