Stop Overselling of Bandwidth by ISPs

Telecom majors have been overselling bandwidth to a huge extent. Contention ratios have always been against the interests of consumers. Inadequate broadband speeds are a headache of every internet subscriber in the country. IT cannot become a major revolutionary force if it cannot percolate to the rural areas. The high cost and the low bandwidth are reasons why internet connectivity cannot become a reality in its current form. TRAI is requested to strictly prevent overselling of bandwidth by the service providers so as to maintain better quality of service, while keeping a check on the cost of service provisioning.
