our road contracts were alloted on lowest rate basis after whic there is no one to look after
why not allotment made on basis of "CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF 5 YRS". Even the govt can pay a little amt towards Maintenance on the basis of KMS of roads laid.
and boards can be made at the banks of the roads containing the names of the contractors with their phone numbers and the higher authorities . so u can either lodge any complaint to contractor or even their higher authorities....
in alter the contractor can make hoardings here and there so he can make little extra money

this will ensure
1.CONTRACTORS make s roads with OPTIMUM QUALITY..
2.Public gets good roads'
3.for graduates its a good biz opportunity
