Immediate Scrapping of Useless UIDAI (Aadhar) Scheme

Petition for immediate scrapping of Useless UIDAI (Aadhar) Scheme ::

Central govt. has started implementation of UIDAI or Aadhar scheme from last 2 years without taking parliaments approval for its huge expenditure & over budgeting. This entire scheme is useless. It is a clear encroachment on our personal freedom guaranteed by the Constitution of India under Article 19(1)(a).
Social activists & all citizens must unite together to oppose this scheme to demand immediate scrapping of this useless scheme.
This scheme is just wastage of public exchequer and taxpayers money.
Instead of focusing on core development work, water conservation schemes, nationwide river connection projects, building thousands of step dams, increasing social health schemes, number of PHC’s and its services to poor, debt recoveries etc. key issues in front of our country, govt. is just acting like a puppet of some foreign hand and is in hurry to implement this scheme without providing any proper, justifiable reason.

Main idea behind this scheme is to provide Unique number to every citizen of India. We already have PAN Card & Voting card whose number is Unique and most of the people have it. Those who don’t have this, (at least Voting card), govt. should have focused on it to issue Voting cards for all remaining citizens. This unique number they can use. But implementation of UIDAI (or Aadhar) is doubtful. Why they are taking our finger prints and iris scan? Isn’t it a gross violation of article 19(1)(a) ?

Someone should urgently move to High Court or Supreme court challenging very basis of this scheme and demand immediate scrapping of it.
1. What is the relation of this card with providing scholarships to students ?
2. What is the relation of this card to provide cash subsidy to poor ?
3. What is the relation of this card with our bank account, (for cash transfer scheme),
4. What is the relation of this card to provide subsidy for LPG cylinder?
(Govt. do not provide any subsidy on LPG is another thing to make people aware of)
5. Why this number is needed for bank account, no logic at all. Just mindless, blind use of someone’s nasty interest?

Social activists must unite together to oppose this scheme and force the govt. to use Voting card / PAN card for Unique number instead of this useless one. Someone must goto High Court or Supreme Court urgently to challenge this scheme.

Tomorrow Govt. will announce that youth cannot marry if they do not have UIDAI number ? Why ? How ? (We are not authorized to ask it?) Bullshit?

As a first step, Govt. should remove compulsion of this number for LPG Cylinders.
As a second step, Govt. should attach Voting card number to citizen’s bank accounts, (which is a Unique Number) for which they want to implement cash subsidy scheme.
