The fundamentals of Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) is a procedure in which the employee has to improve his performance. The employee supervisor sets those targets.
In India PIP is used by MNC as a tool to harass, demotivate Indian workforce and get their resignation or terminate an employee especially during recession.
The company also use this toll every year to reduce 5% of work force and hire freshers/ new cheaper employee.
