Mobiles in Hospitals cause Infections
Petitioning: Hospital Staff

As reported recently in news, hospital staff's mobile devices have been found to be a major carrier of bacterias, including the drug-resistant MRSA superbug; these could as well be a major source of infections casued inside hospitals.
Researchers from the Ondokuz Mayis University in Turkey tested the phones and dominant hands of 200 doctors and nurses working in hospital operating rooms and intensive care units. 95% of the mobile phones were contaminated with at least one type of bacteria, with the potential to cause illness ranging from minor skin irritations to deadly disease.
Nearly 35 percent carried two types of bacteria, and more than 11% carried three or more different species of bugs, the study found. These are alarming statistics and facts, which cannot be sat upon. We appeal to the hospitals to address the situation in a best possible manner.
And also to the hospital staff members to be more prompt when it comes to personal cleanliness. It would be better to minimise the usage of mobile devices inside hospital wards and near patients.
