WE COLLECTIVELY AND RIGHTFULLY DEMAND THAT THE PRESENT RECRUITMENT FOR CLERICAL VACANCIES IN KARNATAKA FOR SBI ASSOCIATE BANKS -2015 MUST BE 100% TO LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY.

Why should you sign this petition?
1. We the people of Karnataka, banking with various Nationalised banks in Karnataka, with their State group Branches, are finding it difficult to put through our banking needs, nowadays because of the language and culture barriers.
2. We find a lot of Junior Managers from different states manning the counters at State Bank Branches, selected and appointed by State Banks,who are being dumped on us and who are not able to address our issues.
3. We, as native citizens of the state, have a right to demand that the persons who are supposed to give us service should know and communicate in the local language.
4. It is our right to demand the Banks who are operating in our State appoint* “ONLY THE LOCAL CANDIDATES*†to meet our expectations.
5. By dumping outside candidates they are taking away the livelihood of the unemployed youths of our State.
6. The jobs that are created in the various Branches of State Banks group are the result of the efforts of people of the state, in achieving development and thus the local people have contributed for the development of the state and no outside candidate is responsible for it.
7. The fruits of the development are being enjoyed by the Banks who set up shop to do business, and grow with the help of money generated by the people of the state.
8. The jobs that are created, consequent to the development of any state, are the assets of the respective states and the local people. The assets should be distributed to the local people rightfully.
9. We consider that selection of outsiders, by ignoring the employement and sentiments of the local people, has created a “*STATE OF WAR*†against the people of Karnataka and it implies an* “ETHNIC CLEANSING OF KANNADIGAS* as adopted by State Bank Groups.
10.WE DEMAND BANKING SERVICE FOR THE LOCAL PEOPLE OF KARNATAKA, BY LOCALLY
SELECTED STAFF, WHO ARE NATIVE CITIIZENS OF THE STATE AND WHO KNOW TO READ,

OUR PETITION TO SBI AND AFFILIATES
REPRESENTATION TO THE STATE BANK OF INDIA MANAGEMENT TO RECRUIT ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES FOR CLERICAL VACANCIES IN SBI / ASSOCIATE BANKS.
We demand that the vacancies being filled by your Recruitment Cell, must select only local candidates ( who are fluent to read, write and speak in Kannada in Karnataka ). In this connection we bring to your notice the following justification for our just and rightful demand.
Due to your wrong recruitment policy/ mechanism adopted, by neglecting the test of the local language in a verifiable manner there is an influx of outside candidates in the final selection who do not know the local language in Karnataka. It is creating a lot of hardship to the local / native customers to put through their transaction and their Banking needs ( More so in rural / Semi Urban areas) there by depriving their legitimate needs. IT AMOUNTS TO DEFICIENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Your recruitment mechanism is not testing the competence of the local language in the selection stage which is the root cause for this problem. We demand that a mandatory local language written paper to be introduced in the selection process at the written test stage or at least at the interview stage.
Majority of the interview panel must be Local people, i.e., people proficient in Kannada in Karnataka.
The jobs that are created in any particular state are the ASSETS OF THE STATE due to the efforts of the local population or the Policies of the local State Governments again for which the taxes are being paid by the local population. For all the development that has taken place in any particular state, the local population have sacrificed their share of land, water resources and other natural resources like Electricity etc.,. None of the outside candidates have in any way contributed for the development. Your Bank is dealing with the local population with their money in your pursuit of growth. And if you give the jobs to the outsiders under some pretext you are TAKING AWAY THE LIVELIHOOD OF KANNADIGAS, by diverting the assets of the State so created by the local population.
We find in the past recruitment that majority of the jobs are given to outsiders, thereby creating an atmosphere of ETHNIC CLEANSING of Kannadigas from your Bank / Associate.
Our country recognizes the Federal structure as the basis of State formation, and your recruitment policy is hitting at the very root of the edifice of the Federal structure. This will lead to social unrest and unwanted violence for which you are solely responsible.
Your persistence in following the same recruitment mechanism even after many representation, we take it as a STATE OF WAR having been launched against the people of Karnataka.
