Petitioning: to stop All India Radio's move to shift regional language bulletins from Delhi

Petitioner: Jinia Roy Dhawan started on March 6, 2017

May we remember that Language is one of the strongest mediums to exercise the 'freedom of expression'. As in India, here is nothing on record to suggest that any provision has been made or order issued declaring any specific language as a national language of the country. But apart from Hindi and English, there are 22 officially recognized languages in the country which cater to the significant number of its people.

All India Radio has been successfully furnishing the regional (the most significant official languages) languages from Delhi since last 80 years or so. But now, All India Radio is going to loose it's national character and lingual integrity as the Prasar Bharati Board (under the sole parental guidance of Union Information & Broadcasting ministry) is on a spree of shedding the Regional Language News Bulletins from the Capital and shift the Central Bulletins to the respective state capitals.

At the time when media houses like BBC is putting efforts to start functioning in major Indian Languages from Delhi, our very own Public Broadcaster is going to axe off those 12 languages which are being served by some of the most efficient hands in this field. It's not only an effort of Language Cleansing, this act could lead to a brutal damage of the interior fabric of the country!
It's a real tragic story for Indian Lingual Diversity!

We, therefore are committed to stop PB's move of shifting the units and keep the lingual diversity intact and also stop the One Language, One Nation policy of the Govt. for the greater national welfare!
