Save Elephant from illegal trading in Punjab: Amend legislation's - OIPA India

The Punjab Cattle Fairs (Regulation) Act, 1967 allowed to trade Jumbo in the cattle fairs, where as Elephant trading is ban in India, same problem was in Haryana but after Abhishek Kadyan and Miss Sukanya Kadyan it was amended vide Haryana Cattle Fairs (Amendment) Bill, 2013.
As per definition of the Punjab Cattle Fairs (Regulation) Act, 1967: 'Cattle' includes a buffalo, camel, cow, donkey, elephant, goat, horse, mule, sheep and their young-ones and such other animals as the State Government may be notification specify; hence you are humbly requested to please issue ordinance to avoid any illegal Elephant trading in Punjab, which is a crime under Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
