Commemorative Postage Stamp on Srimanta Sankardeva

I have been collecting postal stamps since my childhood and specializing in Indian Stamps issued in commemoration and subjects related to Assam and North East India. Till now many stamps commemorating freedom fighters, academicians, political leaders, social reformers, culture, flora and fauna of North East and Assam have been issued by India Post. I always feel that Assamese society is incomplete without Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankardeva and His great contribution towards our cultural richness. But it is surprising and sad that till date 'NO ANY' stamp has been issued commemorating this great saint of this region of India!! This is a dream for every collector from Assam to have one postage stamp on Sankardeva or a set of stamps on Srimanta Sankardeva and His creations like Sattras spread across the eastern India, the famous dance form Sattriya Nritya, unique play called Ankia Bhaona, the music form of Borgeet or may be art forms like Mask making and many more. So, I think we should start pursuing Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Govt of India) and India Post for this. This will be a great achievement for all of us in Assam and our history. So I request everyone to sign this petition and help me spread this until it reaches the concerned department.
