Petitioning: State Governments

Petitioner: Petition Voice started on March 7, 2009

Literacy is not just the only long term solution to all the ailments the country is facing, but is also beneficial in making the country rise as a superpower in 21st century. Needless to say literacy starts right from the primary school education. While government has made extensive plans to support the right to having school education for every children, the implementation remains a bleak reality. On the implementation front there are many delinquencies, which need to be addressed. There are no teachers, in the first place, to do the teaching. Here's a request to the government that instead of creating new infrastructure, bringing in new measures and launching popular schemes, it should focus on improving the current resources including human resource. Thousands of seats for faculty are lying vacant in rural schools and the disturbed teacher-student ratio is not helping the objectives at all.
